Elizabeth works with children, adolescents, adults and couples. She is a registered counsellor with Singapore Association of Counselling and a member of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy.

Elizabeth graduated with BA in Social Sciences and further obtained a Masters in Counselling from the University of Edinburgh, and specializes in psychodynamic and person-centered approaches.

Over the past 5 years, Elizabeth has worked with individuals presenting with a myriad of concerns such as depression, anxiety, relationship related issues, transitions, and grief and loss. She also has experience in working with interracial couples to resolve marital conflicts, develop trust and commitment, and improve relationship foundation. Elizabeth's therapeutic approach is integrative and person-centered, drawing on evidence-based modalities such as Attachment-based Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Gottman's Couples Method (level 1 & 2) to meet her clients' individual needs.

She is also experienced in working with children with special needs and those affected by substance abuse and trauma. She extensively uses Play Therapy and Expressive Therapies (Art, Sand, and Storytelling).

Having lived in Taiwan, UK and Singapore, Elizabeth embraces diversity and is more discerning of cultural nuances that might impact different individuals. Desiring to facilitate individuals' acculturation processes, Elizabeth pioneered a support group focusing on helping Taiwanese mothers adjust optimally to life in Singapore.

Elizabeth is an empathetic and flexible individual who is a strong advocate of self-empowerment. She believes that every individual has the potential to achieve self-actualization, however, due to obstacles or limitations in life, they require a non-judgmental and safe therapeutic environment and guidance to achieve their true potential. She is driven to help individuals discover and connect with the intrinsic beauty and wisdom of the self, believing that the motivation to strive naturally, flows from that discovery. She is committed to lifelong learning and continues to improve her clinical skills to provide holistic counselling for her clients.
