Laura is an Italian and has spent the last 25 years travelling the world and living in Europe, USA and Asia. She has been living in Singapore for nearly 20 years and considers this her home.
Laura has extensive experience as a counsellor and psychotherapist, providing bilingual services in English and Italian. Laura has worked with individuals from a wide range of nationalities and cultural backgrounds, developing familiarity with expatriate culture and challenges. She provides support and treatment for several psychological issues, specializing in family, parental and marital counselling.
Drawing on many years of training and experience as an educator, Laura also works with children and young adults focusing on social, emotional and behavioural challenges. She helps her young clients with emotion regulation, managing fears and anxieties, developing age-appropriate social skills, growth mindset and self-esteem. Her work with adults focuses on anxiety, depression, stress management, self- development, mental and emotional well-being, life adjustments and transitions.
Working mainly from a multidisciplinary framework, she tailors each client’s treatment according to their specific needs and integrates elements from different approaches such as psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural, transactional analysis and positive psychology.
A genuine and collaborative therapeutic relationship is a priority in her work with clients. She is enthusiastic about continuing her learning and development; reads widely to further develop her skills and thinking. She regularly attends conferences, workshops and events to enhance her therapeutic potency and to ensure that her clients receive the best care possible.
