Songsom is a psychotherapist and clinical psychologist from Thailand. She obtained her Masters from Pittsburg State University, USA. With more than 20 years of clinical experience in helping clients with mental health conditions, she aims to promote changes in psychotherapy either emotionally, behaviorally, cognitively, or in personality. Her interest includes depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulty, life change, psychological trauma, behavior problems, inner self-growth, and personality development.

Songsom’s therapeutic approach is eclectic, involving Adlerian Psychoanalysis, Behavioral Therapy (BT), Solution Focused Therapy, Person-centered and Existential approach, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). She believes that people are unique, so the best approach for a client is the approach that fits his or her culture, belief system, and personality characteristics.

During the last 15 years, Songsom has also conducted workshop training in clinical interviews, psychotherapy and counseling, and psychological evaluation.

With great respect to ethical and professional standards, Songsom was granted in 2020 by the American Psychological Association (APA) in producing the translated version of the APA’s 2017 Ethical Principle and Code of Conduct for Psychologists in the Thai language.
