Whitney has been working as a counsellor in the United States for the last seven years. Her diverse experience includes working in different settings such as individual, groups such as including psychiatric inpatient milieu, intensive outpatient psychoeducational and therapeutic programs, office-based outpatient counselling, and teletherapy via her own private practice. Whitney works with adult individuals seeking to reconnect with who they are.
Whitney is trained in a range of therapeutic techniques including Applied Existential Psychotherapy (AEP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and EMDR Levels I & II. She participates in ongoing continuous education on topics such as psychopharmaceutical medications, Sensorimotor Therapy, neurofeedback, relationship counselling, group process, and Dream Analysis. Her approach is integrative, collaborative, and strength-based. Whitney is experienced to work with depression, anxiety, life-transition, identity struggles, trauma, grief, and loss. Whitney is able to support the client to achieve greater satisfaction and authenticity in their lives.
Fundamentally Whitney believes that we are all capable of creating the lives we want most, but sometimes life events and limiting self-beliefs can get in the way of this. With the support of a counsellor, Whitney believes we can often find our way to thriving—living with passion, presence, and stability.
